New Mafia return in NY! After several months off due to injury and personal issues the HCM have
returned to action in New Era Pro Wrestling. Friday night, Joey, Bruno and
long time Mafia ally turned full fledged HCM member Matt Turner all made their
debut for NEPW. Joey and Bruno were the last team out in a Tag Team Gauntlet
match for the NEPW Tag Titles. Unfortunetly, their opponents ATD (Amazing
Technicolor Dreamboats) ran the gauntlet and "cheated to win" to capture the
tag team title.
Later in the night Joey, Bruno and Turner all competed in the Battle Royal to
determine the NEPW Champion. Joey and Bruno were both eliminated by Tommy Da
Rocca and later on Turner was sent over the top by former ECW star and current
ROH superstar Tony Mamaluke.
The HCM all look forward to continued work with NEPW in the future.
HCM comes up short on St. Patricks Day: The HCM made their debut in front of a less than stellar crowd for the NYWA on Monday. In the opening bout of the show, Joey and Bruno faced off against Nicky Ice and Smooth Tommy Suede. Even though the match was a bit sub-par.. (Check out Bruno's Dead Journal in the upcoming days to find out what happened) the 4 athletes were able to put together something to watch. After a hard fought match up.. Ice was able to clear the ring of Bruno and nail Joey with a reverse DDT and Suede then hit a picture perfect Standing Shooting Star press for the pin. After the bout Tommy Suede was heard saying that he PROMISED the next meeting between him and the HCM would be "off the charts". We can only wait, watch and hope that that date comes soon.
